History
In the Spring of 1997 Luke Laffin and Ruth Fredenburg joined forces on their first project. Ruth, a programmer by trade had already began to develop web pages in HTML, but wanted to add a little more flare to the text pages. Luke, an artist by birth and graphic designer offered to help.
It didn't take long to realize that a great team had been born and Alpha Web Design, llc came to be. Within a year it was obvious that there was more development than the two of them could handle, so they began adding qualified staff to take the company to the next level.
After the 2nd year Alpha Web Design, llc came to a crossroads. The talent of the team and the potential of the market presented the opportunity to take another leap forward. At that time Ruth decided to sell her part of the company and create a smaller development company to free her up to follow her dreams of being a part of a church ministry. Luke restructured the company and incorporated to Alpha Web Design, Inc. and the company is still providing high quality professional Internet solutions for companies all across the nation.

Here are a few of the projects that AWD has been activily involved with in their efforts to make the world a better place:
Disaster Relief: Kosovo
Our president, Luke Laffin, traveled to Kosovo three years in a row as a part of a team sent to provide medical attention to the people (primarily widows and orphans of the so called, "ethnic cleansing" of Albanians) of the war-torn area of southern Kosovo.
Disaster Relief: Hurricane Charlie
Luke traveled to Florida as a part of a disaster relief team sent to provide temporary covering for damaged roofs and to clear fallen trees and debris so repair crews could reach homes.
Disaster Relief: Compassion In Action
We work with the Wisconsin based 501c(3) organization called "Compassion in Action" which exists to provide disaster relief. They have currently been involved in numerous projects in Kosovo, Paraguay, Mexico, Florida, New Orleans, and Mississippi.

The Nightmare
The Nightmare is an interactive Hollywood quality maze where people come face to face with the four leading killers of teenagers: drunk driving, drugs, gang violence and suicide. Since it's beginning, the nightmare has reached over 110,000 people with it's powerful, visual message. AWD has been providing Internet development services, marketing support, and man-power for over 8 years.

Poverty Relief
AWD has supported various efforts to alleviate the suffering and hardship caused by poverty. These efforts have included local intervention as well as involvement in outreach teams to Monterey and Guycura Mexico.

Alpha Web Design has contributed in numerous ways to Various Churches, Outreaches, and Missions organizations in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

I am in no way ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but I have determined to strive to first 'show myself' to be a man, and a business, that is worthy of that amazing name.
